Fleetwood Mako's Aquatics Club
Serious coaching. Smaller groups. More feedback. Exceptional experiences.
From your first club session to your next competitive goal, develop your swimming or water-polo skills with purposeful coaching and a team behind you.

What makes a Mako
You do not have to be the fastest athlete in the squad to deserve serious coaching. You do need to want to listen, train, learn and improve.
01Coaches explain the purpose of each session and help athletes improve how they swim, with technique at the heart of training.
02Smaller groups give coaches more opportunity to notice the detail, explain a correction and see how an athlete responds.
03Clear cues help athletes understand what to practise next and give them something practical to try in the water.
04Specialist sessions, team events and optional international camps give athletes opportunities to learn together and grow in confidence beyond their usual training.
Effort recognised. Progress celebrated.Presentation night
Presentation night brings athletes, families, coaches and volunteers together to celebrate the season. It is a chance to recognise the progress made through training, the performances that mattered and the people who helped make it possible.
These shared moments are part of belonging to Mako’s: taking pride in your own progress and celebrating your team-mates too.

Coaching that moves with you
Coaches work on the details that help an athlete use their effort well: body position, stroke timing, turns and race skills. Clear feedback helps athletes put those changes into practice in the next swim.
Coach-led. Athlete-centred.Three ways in. One standard.
